The Course -- GNM

 

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year diploma course designed for aspirants who want to pursue a career in clinical nursing.  The curriculum includes a six-month mandatory internship at the end of the course and the diploma is granted only after the candidates complete this internship. Candidates who have successfully passed their 12th standard exam in the Science/Arts stream can pursue the GNM course. The programme teaches aspirants how to care for individuals who are sick or have been injured in order to help them attain full recovery. Candidates can secure admission into General Nursing and Midwifery programme by applying agianst the admission notification issued by Board of Examination for GNM, Vijayawada.
Eligibility
10 + 2 / P.D.C (OR) Inter any Group
Age Limit: 17 - 35 Years (Age limit is relaxed by 3 years in case of SC / ST / BC - C Candidates)
Male candidates also are Eligible for admission into GNM Course. Vide G.O. Ms. No. 651 of Dated : 07-11-2003 HM & FW (K2) Dept.,
Duration: 3 1/2 Years (Including 6 Months Internship)

  • Pass Certificate/ Marks Memo of Intermediate / 10+2/ PDC/HSSC/NOS.
  • X Class Marks Memo/ Date of birth proof.
  • Transfer Certificate.
  • Migration Certificate (for Out of A.P. Students).
  • To avail Fee Reimbursement from Government :
