The school of Nursing offers GNM – General Nursing and Midwifery course. It is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and AP Nursing Council, Hyderabad since 2003. The institute is attached to RIMS Government Hospital, Kadapa for practical training. Almost 80% of the students of this course are from Kerala.
G.N.M - GENERAL NURSING AND MIDWIFERY |
Eligibility: 10 + 2 / P.D.C (OR) Intermediate any Group
Duration: 3 1/2 Years (Including 6 Months Internship)
The duration of course is 3 Years and 6 Months. The course commences from August of every academic year. First twelve weeks i.e., 3 months will be the PTS (Primary Training Session) Period. Followed by PTS examinations, passed candidates are eligible for deputation for clinical duties at Govt. District Hospital (RIMS), Kadapa.

After passing all the three years exams of GNM Course 6 Months Internship will be there where the student Nurses have to work in all the Nursing Specialities.
During the course students will have to undergo field training at various P.H.C's (Primary Health Centers), Rural Health Centers (Teaching Centers) and Rehabilitation Centers to gain knowledge about the health care delivery system in rural & urban areas. |

Course Structure & Examination Pattern |
The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Hyderabad has framed the rules to have both internal and external assessment system. The students are assessed by the college (internal exams) for 25 marks and external exams for 75 marks for all the theory subjects. |
